Newsletter from the Head – Week 3

Dear Parents and Guardians

I do hope you have a wonderful exeat with your sons and daughters and this glorious spring sunshine continues! This has been a truly wonderful week here at the College and I have particularly enjoyed the 1^st XI boys’ cricket final-ball thriller hosted at Abbotsholme, a pupil music recital in my assembly and a truly inspirational ‘Enterprising Women’ evening hosted by our Development and Alumni team. Last night we enjoyed a wonderful evening of ‘Rock and Pop’ showcasing so many talented vocalists and instrumentalists. And behind the scenes, business as normal has continued apace and I continue to be so proud of the many and varied achievements of your children.

We wish the Fifth Form who have elected to remain at home for the revision period the very best of luck as they embark on their independent revision ahead of exams which begin apace next week.

Please note that we will be observing the Bank Holiday this weekend and we look forward to welcoming our day pupils back on Tuesday morning.

Lower School Play

During the last week of half term our Lower School play, Shrek Jr, will be performed in the School Room on Tuesday 21 May and Thursday 23 May at 7pm. With over 90 students involved performing and backstage, this promises to be a great evening. Please do book your tickets using the letter on the parent portal.

Tall Boys

Please note that SchoolBlazer have listened to our request to accommodate taller boys as standard. From June, many waist sizes will now have a 35” length as standard and delivery will be guaranteed before the Autumn Term.
