At Denstone College and The Prep, we have a summer and winter timetable. These are shaped around natural daylight available and maximising the co-curricular opportunities to support this.

Our winter timetable typically runs from October Half Term until February Half Term.

Daily (Mon – Fri)

  • 8.00 - 8.20: Arrive
  • 8.20 - 9.00: Class
  • 9.00 - 11.00: Period 1-3
  • 11.00 - 11.30: Break
  • 11.30 - 12.30: Period 4
  • 12.30 - 13.30: Lunch Break
  • 13.30 - 15.30: Period 5-7
  • 15.30 - 15.45: End of Day
  • 15.45 - 18.00: After-School Prep
  • 16.00 - 17.00: After-School Clubs
  • Until 18.00: Late Pick-Up
Reception - Prep 2 (Pre-Prep)

Daily (Mon – Fri)

  • 8.00 - 8.20: Arrive
  • 8.20 - 9.00: Class
  • 9.00 - 10.00: Period 1-2
  • 10.00 - 10.30: Break
  • 10.40 - 11.40: Period 3

Games Training Sessions and Fixtures

Games training sessions and fixtures take place at different days / times for different year groups and depending on fixtures, on Tuesday AM, Tuesday PM, Thursday PM or Friday PM.
