At Denstone College and The Prep, we have a summer and winter timetable. These are shaped around natural daylight available and maximising the co-curricular opportunities to support this.
Our winter timetable typically runs from October Half Term until February Half Term.

NB Senior School day pupils have the Head’s permission to be absent on Saturdays but must fulfil their games commitments, especially fixtures.

If you are off games for any reason, you need to have your name added to the MLO list. You must go to the Medical Centre to be put on the list. All those on the MLO list go to the advertised venue with work to do for one hour (instead of going to games) at the following start times:
Monday
- 3rd Form pupils - 9.40 am (Summer & Winter)
- 1st – 2nd Form pupils - 11.30 am (Summer & Winter)
- 4th - U6th Form pupils - 4.20 pm (Summer), 2.10 pm (Winter)
Wednesday
- All pupils - 2.00 pm 2.00 pm
Saturday (1st - 5th Form)
- All pupils - 2.00 pm 2.00 pm
Pupils forgetting kit may be sent to MLO but must check in with the staff in charge of their games session first.

Clinic times for pupils are:
- Monday - Friday: 8.00am - 9:00am, 11.00am - 11.30am, 12.50pm - 1.50pm, 4.10pm - 6.00pm
- Saturday: 9.00am - 9.30am, 11.30am - 12.00pm
These surgeries are held for routine medication and for any problems or ailments that arise.
A nurse will be on call from home each weekday evening and from 5pm on Saturday through to 8am on Monday (available to come in if necessary).
