Independent Schools of the year 2025 - Were Shortlisted
|
Denstone College is proud to announce that we have once again participated in the prestigious Independent Schools of the Year 2025 Awards, which continue to highlight the very best that the sector has to offer. This year saw a record-breaking number of nominations, with hundreds of schools – including many new entrants – submitting compelling entries across 25 categories.
These annual awards provide a unique platform for independent schools across the UK and beyond to celebrate and showcase their extraordinary achievements. The 2025 entries have been particularly powerful, highlighting the innovative and life-enhancing experiences schools continue to offer their pupils. The stories shared reflect the resilience, creativity, and commitment to excellence that define the independent education sector.
Chair of the judging panel, Dr Helen Wright, commented:
''Reading through this year’s entries, the judges have been particularly struck by the resilience and determination shown by the UK independent schools’ sector in the face of unprecedented challenge to their existence. Meanwhile, globally, independent schools are facing up to political uncertainty with equal levels of fortitude. It is clear that independent schools are working harder than ever to ensure that their students – and the whole community – develop into well-rounded global citizens who contribute positively to society.''
At Denstone, we are proud to be part of a sector that is committed not only to academic success but to the personal development, wellbeing, and global awareness of every student. These awards are a testament to the richness and diversity of school life, and we are honoured to be included among such inspiring institutions.
The shortlist of finalists will be announced on 9 September, with winners revealed at the awards ceremony in October.
