A record breaking year for A Level students at Denstone College with the best ever A*-B results

A record breaking year for A Level students at Denstone College with the best ever A*-B results. Headmaster David Derbyshire said: “For an Upper Sixth Form of 96 students to achieve 79% at A*-B grades speaks for itself. This is a fantastic performance despite the top grades being harder to achieve.”

Students from the College are going on to high ranking universities in the UK and North America. Thirteen pupils achieved three A grades or better; Tom Goldsworthy secured three A*s and an A to win a place at the London School of Economics, Jo Carter and Tom Ratcliffe will both be going to vet school, and Joel Chilaka will be studying medicine. College students are preparing to study a wide range of traditional and vocational courses. Jake Pope will be the first Old Denstonian to read for a degree in Chinese Studies at Durham University.
