Fees
Whether your child is a day or boarding pupil, Denstone College offers all the benefits associated with a leading boarding school and we are proud of the very competitive nature of our fee structure. As is our normal practice, the fees for next year were announced at Easter with only a very modest increase.
Day Fees for the Academic Year 2010/11 are £3,201 per term for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Forms (Years 7, 8 and 9), and £3,868 from 4th Form (Year 10) onwards, with Boarding Fees starting from £6,144 per term. Indeed, for 1st Form (Year 7) boarders starting in 2010/11, there is an introductory boarding fee of £4,635 per term. Fees are payable on or before the first day of term and a term’s notice in writing must be given before the removal of a pupil or before a change of status.
Denstone College has introduced its own advanced fee payment scheme, which we have found particularly useful for a number of parents, and indeed grandparents, when considering their future financial planning. The scheme provides a reduction to our already competitive fees for those paying a lump sum to cover a longer period of fees, for example, the first three years.
There are a number of advantages of such a scheme which, depending upon individual tax circumstances, can include:
· The initial discount in the fee rate given
· Estate planning / Inheritance Tax planning
· Potential income tax savings (the discounts are not usually taxable)
If this scheme would be of interest to you, please do not hesitate to contact the Finance Bursar, David Martin, on 01889 594325.
