Independent Boarding School Fees

Denstone College offers exceptional value for money for both day and boarding places, and the fees will bear comparison with other boarding schools and independent day schools.

As part of our commitment to boarding, flexibility is the keynote of our packages, all of which are tailored to meet the needs of modern family life. We offer full boarding, weekly boarding, and for day pupils, termly boarding, which is a unique opportunity to try boarding for one term in any academic year at a very competitive rate.

What next?

Please contact the Admissions Office to arrange a visit or to discuss the application process.

We ask families interested in admission to register using the registration form included with the follow up letter sent out after a personal visit or open morning. A non-returnable registration fee of £50 is payable at this stage.

After the offer of a place or scholarship is made, we ask parents to complete and return an acceptance form, along with a deposit** of £400, or £1,000 in the case of non EEA pupils. Payment of the deposit confirms that Denstone is the parents’ first choice school. If the child is subsequently not admitted to the school on academic or other grounds, this deposit will be refunded; if withdrawn by parents after a place has been offered, the deposit will be forfeited.

A joining fee of £100 is charged on the first invoice only.

25% sibling remission is granted to the third child of a family joining the College, regardless as to whether or not the older siblings are still attending.

**Parents will receive a full refund of this deposit when the pupil leaves the College. If a parent elects to leave the deposit with the College, it will be used to augment the scholarships and bursaries fund.

Further information on fees, charges and means testing may be obtained from the Bursar, David Martin.
