College Life: Extra Curricular
The ethos behind the extra curricular programme is to offer a breadth of quality activities. All pupils participate in both sport and activity sessions. The weekly timetable is arranged to provide time for an extra curricular session in the afternoon on all days with the exception of Friday, when the whole College meet for a Chapel service.
Girls and boys have the opportunity to participate in a colourful range of sports and activities. Monday, Wednesday and Saturday are main sport days. Tuesdays and Thursdays are activity afternoons.
Tuesdays
- Session lasts from 4.10-5.40pm (Summer timetable) and 4.10-5.30 (Winter timetable).
Juniors are able to opt from a list of activities offered by members of staff. Middle and Senior pupils who are squad members may have a squad training session. Commitments to Orchestra or the school play take priority over these training sessions. All other pupils opt for a non sporting activity.
Prefects who are not involved in the school play, orchestra or a training session have the option to choose an activity which they would like to help with in order to develop leadership skills.
Thursdays
- Session lasts from 4.10-5.40 (Summer timetable) and 2.10-3.20pm (Winter timetable)
Most juniors are involved in a sport training session and therefore do not need to opt for an activity.
Prefects who are not involved in either the school play or CCF have the option to choose an activity which they would like to help with; this includes the junior training sessions.
